A Cooperation Protocol was signed between the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Coaching Education, and the Çorum Branch of TÜFAD.

Our Faculty's Coaching Education Department and the Çorum Branch of the Turkish Football Coaches Association (TÜFAD) have signed a comprehensive cooperation protocol to support the professional development of our football specialisation students, provide them with field experience, and strengthen university-field collaboration.

The protocol aims to create a high-quality educational process where our students can transfer their theoretical knowledge into a practical setting, integrating academic knowledge with field experience. At the same time, the protocol aims to enable our academics to conduct measurements, performance analyses, and scientific research in a football environment, while also contributing academically to the professional development of coaches working within TÜFAD.

Field Experience for Our Football Specialisation Students

Under the cooperation protocol, our football specialisation students will participate in field applications under the guidance of coaches affiliated with the TÜFAD Çorum Branch. Our students will have the opportunity to actively observe and participate in training and match processes, developing their professional competence by directly experiencing the dynamics of the football environment.

Furthermore, during the practical process, our students will be involved in performance measurement, testing, analysis, and reporting activities conducted by our academics, gaining the opportunity to understand player development and performance evaluation processes from a scientific perspective.

Academic Contribution to Seminars, Courses and Training programmes

Under the protocol, academics from our faculty will participate in seminars, courses and training programmes organised by the Çorum Branch of TÜFAD. These programmes will share current and scientific content with coaches, covering topics such as training science, performance analysis, athlete health, nutrition, sports psychology and football game models.

In this respect, the cooperation protocol is not only a student-focused application process; it also presents a comprehensive training model that supports the continuous professional development of coaches working in the field.

Scientific Research and Social Contribution Dimension

The protocol also covers field collaborations, joint projects and publications, scientific meetings and events for academic studies to be conducted at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Within this framework, our faculty aims to contribute to the transfer of scientific knowledge produced in the field of football to the field and to regional football development.

In addition, it is planned to implement talent scouting, development monitoring and social contribution projects for grassroots football, as well as initiatives aimed at spreading sport to the grassroots level.

The prepared cooperation protocol was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kutlu, and the President of the Çorum Branch of the Turkish Football Coaches Association (TÜFAD), Mr Yasin Aksoy.

The signing ceremony was attended by our Head of the Coaching Education Department, Prof. Dr. Erkan Demirkan, and Mr. Hayrettin Karaca, Youth Football Coach at Çorum FK, who expressed their support for the collaboration.

As a faculty, we value and continue to develop such collaborations that strengthen our students' practice-based education processes and integrate academic knowledge with field experience. We would like to thank the TÜFAD Çorum Branch Presidency, our external partner, for their contribution to our faculty and department in this process.
